SAVOYE is continuing to support Kalamazoo, a company of the Raja group in Spain.

SAVOYE is providing the Spanish office equipment and furniture distributor Kalamazoo with its ODATiO end-to-end modular solution to its warehouse near Bilbao. This modernisation project marks a new stage in the long-standing relationship between the two companies, which have been partners since 2007.

For almost a year now, Kalamazoo, the Spanish distributor of office equipment and furniture, has been modernising its 11,800 m2 logistics warehouse on the doorstep of Bilbao, with voice order picking, stock management, operations monitoring and KPIs. Since the end of 2023, SAVOYE, its supplier of intralogistics solutions and supply chain software has been integrating its ODATiO end-to-end modular application, along with the Connect Master module for interfacing with the existing ERP system. The aim? To offer Kalamazoo complete management of its warehouse perimeter and the 7,000 references stored there, via a single system combining performance and innovation. Today, thanks to ODATiO, the company, which sells mainly via the web, prepares an average of 6,000 order lines per day, for an average volume of 2,500 parcels dispatched per day, i.e. around 750 parcels/h processed on the automated line.

Managing all warehouse processes in a single system

Already equipped with a mechanised system and a WMS from the SAVOYE group, Kalamazoo decided to support its growth with this new project by making a real technological jump. With new tools and new ergonomics, it was only normal for Kalamazoo to call on its service provider, building on its long-standing partnership with SAVOYE. ‘Due to the obsolescence of our old LM7 tool, we worked on implementing Odatio in our warehouse. This tool enables us to manage all the warehouse processes in a single system, as well as having real-time information on each storage unit in the warehouse’, explains Leila Outeiral, Supply chain Manager at Kalamazoo site. ‘In addition to implementing our ODATiO solution in licence mode, this project involved close collaboration with our customer on change management. We worked closely with Kalamazoo to support the 27 users on site, 10 of whom are now equipped with a voice solution to assist them in their order picking activities’, concludes Brice POZZOLI.
